For the Feast of Visitation

The Magnificat is more than a prayer of praise. It also reminds us about the essential link between humility and holiness. Just as God has “regarded the lowliness of his handmaid” and “has done great things” for Mary in making her the Mother of his Son, so too “he has put down the mighty from their thrones (with his own might!) and has exalted the lowly.”

Magnificat

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
My spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
For he has looked with favour on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
The Almighty has done great things for me,
And holy is his name.

He has mercy on those who fear him,
In every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm,
He has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
And has lifted up the lowly.

He has filled the hungry with good things,
And the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the aid of his servant Israel,
For he has remembered his promise of mercy,
The promise he made to our fathers,
To Abraham and his children for ever.

Inexhaustible Source of Life

~~ Prayer to the Blessed and Holy Trinity ~~

The Father is my Hope.
The Son is my Refuge.
The Holy Spirit is my Protector.
Glory to the Holy and Undivided Trinity,
now and forever.
Let us Praise the Father,
the Son and the Holy Spirit;
let us bless and exalt God above all forever!

Almighty and everlasting God,
to whom we owe the grace of professing the true Faith,
grant that while acknowledging the Glory of the eternal Trinity
and adoring its Unity,
we may through Your majestic power
be confirmed in this faith
and defended against all adversities
;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with You
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God,
forever and ever.Amen

Everyday with Holy Spirit

Come, O Creator Spirit, come,
And make within our hearts Thy home;
To us Thy grace celestial give,
Who of Thy breathing move and live.
O Comforter, that name is thine,
Of God most high the gift divine;
The Well of Life, the Fire of Love,
Our souls’ anointing from above.
Our senses with Thy Light inflame,
Our hearts to heavenly Love reclaim;
Our bodies’ poor infirmity
With strength perpetual fortify.
May we by Thee the Father learn,
And know the Son, and Thee discern,
Who art of both; and thus adore
In perfect Faith for evermore.
All laud to God the Father be;
All praise, O risen Son, to Thee;
All glory, as is ever meet,
To God the Holy Paraclete.Amen

Oration To Saint Rita of Cascia , The Saint Of The Impossible

O excellent St. Rita, worker of miracles, from thy sanctuary in Cascia, where in all thy beauty thou sleepest in peace, where thy relics exhale breaths of paradise, turn thy merciful eyes on me who suffer and weep! Thou seest my poor bleeding heart surrounded by thorns Thou seest, O dear Saint, that my eyes have no more tears to shed, so much have I wept! Weary and discouraged as I am, I feel the very prayers dying on my lips. Must I thus despair in this crisis of my life? O come, St. Rita, come to my aid and help me. Art thou not called the Saint of the Impossible, Advocate to those in despair? Then honor thy name, procuring for me from God the favor that I ask.
(Here our prayer request.)
Everyone praises thy glories, everyone tells of the most amazing miracles performed through thee, must I alone be disappointed because thou hast not heard me? Ah no! Pray then pray for me to thy sweet Lord Jesus that He be moved to pity by my troubles and that, through thee, O good St. Rita, I may obtain what my heart so fervently desires. Amen
(Pray the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father, three times.)

Let us always remember the Poor Souls

Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, for those in my own home and in my family. Amen

Prayer for the Conversion of Scandinavia

300 Days, once a day. (See Instructions.) 54 Leo XIII, April 18, 1885.

O good Jesus , prostrate at Thy feet, we humbly implore Thee, by thy most Sacred Wounds and by the Precious Blood which Thou didst shed for the salvation of the whole world, that Thou wouldst deign to cast a look of pity on the peoples of Scandinavia, seduced from the Faith for so many centuries, and plunged in the darkness of heresy, separated from thy Church, deprived of the participation of the adorable Sacrament of thy Body and Blood, and of the other sacraments instituted by Thee, as the refuge of souls in life and in death.

Remember, O Redeemer of the world, that for these souls too Thou didst suffer bitter death, with the loss of all thy blood. Bring back, O good Shepherd, these wandering sheep ofthine to the one fold and to the healthy pastures of thy Church, so that they may form with us one flock , tended by Thee, and by thy Vicar on earth, the supreme Pontiff, whom, in the person of the Apostle St Peter, Thou didst commission to feed thy sheep and thy lambs. Graciously hear, O good Jesus, the prayers which we offer Thee with the most lively trust in the love of thy Sacred Heart, and to thy most Holy Name be praise, glory, and honor, world without end. Amen.
