Introduction ( and Novena ) to the Feast of Guardian Angels

October 2nd is the feast of the Guardian Angels.

“No evil shall befall you, nor shall affliction come near your tent, for to His Angels God has given command about you, that they guard you in all your ways. Upon their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91: 10-12
A heavenly spirit assigned by God to watch over each of us during our lives. The doctrine of angels is part of the Church’s tradition. The role of the guardian angel is both to guide us to good thoughts, works and words, and to preserve us from evil. Heavenly Father, Your infinite love for us has chosen a blessed angel in Heaven and appointed him our guide during this earthly pilgrimage. Accept our heartfelt thanks for so great blessing and Mercy .
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “From infancy to death human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession” (No. 336). St. Basil asserted, “Beside each believer stands an angel protector and shepherd leading him to life. ”
Therefore I'm warm inviting all prayerful people to join me in another awesome Novena for the Feast of Guardian Angels , God bless you all !

O holy angels, whom God,
by the effect of His goodness and His tender regard for my welfare,
has charged with the care of my conduct,
and who assists me in all my wants
and comforts me in all my afflictions,
who supports me when I am discouraged
and continually obtains for me new favors,
I return thee profound thanks,
and I earnestly beseech thee,
O most amiable protector,
to continue thy charitable care and defense of me
against the malignant attacks of all my enemies.
Keep me away from all occasions of sin.
Obtain for me the grace of listening attentively
to thy holy inspirations
and of faithfully putting them into practice.
In particular, I implore thee to obtain for me
the favor which I ask for by this novena.
( here our prayer intention )
Protect me in all the temptations and trials of this life,
but more especially at the hour of my death,
and do not leave me until thou hast conducted me
into the presence of my Creator
in the mansions of everlasting happiness.Amen.

Novena to the Feast of Holy Archangels

O God, who in Thine ineffable Providence, hast sent Thy Holy Angels to watch over us: grant, we humbly pray, that we may always be defended by their protection and may rejoice in their fellowship forever. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

God our Father, in a wonderful way You guide the work of angels and men. May those who serve You constantly in Heaven keep our lives safe from all harm here on earth. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Father, in praising Your faithful angels and archangels, we also praise Your glory, for in honoring them, we honor You, their Creator. Their splendor shows us Your greatness, which surpasses in goodness the whole of creation. Amen.

Most noble Archangels, you who, under the command of St Michael, guard and protect the Holy Church, deign to deliver her from internal and external enemies. Watch over all the children of the Immaculate Spouse of Christ, and in virtue of the Divine Blood, obtain for us the grace to live and die in the Faith, Hope and Charity of Holy Church, so that we may be eternally united with its august Head, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

You Angels and Archangels, you Thrones and Dominations, you Principalities and Powers, you Virtues of the heavens, Cherubim and Seraphim, bless the Lord for ever . Amen

Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi

O Mother, fount of love,
touch my spirit from above,
make my heart mourn with thee. Amen

Prayer Before an Image of the Mother of Sorrows

O most compassionate Mother, what bitterness filled thy heart when thou didst embrace the lacerated Body of thy Son with thy virginal arms, press Him lovingly to thy maternal heart, and cover Him with tenderest kisses. I remind thee of this inexpressible bitterness, in virtue of which I beseech thee to obtain for me forgiveness of my sins.

O Mary, pray for me, a poor sinner, to thy Jesus Whom thou didst hold in thy arms. Take the wounded Body of thy Son into thy maternal arms, and offer Him in this condition to the Heavenly Father for me. Offer His pierced Heart, His Passion and Death, and all thy own immeasurable sorrows to obtain grace and mercy for me, particularly (here our humble prayer request). Amen.

Holy Mother, pierce me though; in my heart each wound renew of my Saviour Crucified.

O Mary, our hope, have pity on us!

The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Let us together with Saints and Angels to celebrate with great joy the Nativity of the most Holy Virgin Mary, because Her birth has filled with joy the whole universe.
The birth of our Heavenly Mother is the end of a sad night , the night of sin, and nothing can be compared with it so well as the black and terrible darkness of death.
When Mary was born the Light of Salvation shone fort . The evils flee, the Angels sing and the whole world is filled with light and joy.
That light which comes to us from Mary is Christ , our Lord and Savior .
We rejoice exultantly in celebrating the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary for we see this day as the beginning of that great day when Christ the Lord took on human flesh.
We give thanks to Almighty God for His most beautiful handmaid who continues to lead us to the greatest gift of all - Jesus Christ our Lord .
Heavenly Father, may we be filled with everlasting joy as we celebrate the birth of Mary who brought salvation to the world. We make our prayer in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ the Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Novena for the Feast of our Lady of Sorrows ( September 15 )

One day after the Feast of Exaltation ( Triumph ) of the Holy Cross is the Feast of our Lady of Sorrows . Christ our Lord and Redeemer is our forerunner in all human sorrows and difficulties. Mary , as His Holy Mother, offered to God with Him all the afflictions of His earthly life, and She continues to offer those of the Church, for its sanctification, for the souls in Purgatory and the salvation of souls. Holy Mother of God offered herself, completely, with all the love of which a mother was capable, for a child, whom she offers to all of us. In this most holy way, her sorrows are joined to those of the Redeemer whom she bore for the whole world.
Therefore let us faithfully pray :

Most holy and afflicted Virgin, our Lady of Sorrows and Queen of Martyrs!
Thou who didst stand motionless at the foot of the Cross, beneath thy dying Son, through the sword of sorrow which pierced thee then, through the unceasing suffering of thy life of sorrow, and the bliss which now amply repays thee for thy past trials and afflictions, look down with a mother's tenderness and pity on one who kneels before thee, who venerates thy sacred Dolors, and places his request, with filial confidence, in the Sanctuary of thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Present, I beseech thee, to Jesus Christ, in union with the infinite merits of His Passion and Death, thy sufferings at the foot of the Cross; and through the efficacy of both, obtain the grant of my petition.
(Now we put our prayer request before Our Lady)

Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Amen

Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - Revised

Reposting this Holy Spirit inspired Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus , may It be our salvation and grant us Mercy !

Daily Prayer - Quotidie

Let us always remember the Poor Souls

Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, for those in my own home and in my family. Amen

Prayer for the Conversion of Scandinavia

300 Days, once a day. (See Instructions.) 54 Leo XIII, April 18, 1885.

O good Jesus , prostrate at Thy feet, we humbly implore Thee, by thy most Sacred Wounds and by the Precious Blood which Thou didst shed for the salvation of the whole world, that Thou wouldst deign to cast a look of pity on the peoples of Scandinavia, seduced from the Faith for so many centuries, and plunged in the darkness of heresy, separated from thy Church, deprived of the participation of the adorable Sacrament of thy Body and Blood, and of the other sacraments instituted by Thee, as the refuge of souls in life and in death.

Remember, O Redeemer of the world, that for these souls too Thou didst suffer bitter death, with the loss of all thy blood. Bring back, O good Shepherd, these wandering sheep ofthine to the one fold and to the healthy pastures of thy Church, so that they may form with us one flock , tended by Thee, and by thy Vicar on earth, the supreme Pontiff, whom, in the person of the Apostle St Peter, Thou didst commission to feed thy sheep and thy lambs. Graciously hear, O good Jesus, the prayers which we offer Thee with the most lively trust in the love of thy Sacred Heart, and to thy most Holy Name be praise, glory, and honor, world without end. Amen.
